The Let's Write Out Loud & Young Visionaries Pistols 2 Pencils News *

The Homestreet Publishing’s Let’s Write Out Loud Program is a English/Language Arts Creative Writing Program designed to help kids fall in love with words.

& The Young Visionaries Youth Leadership Academy Pistols 2 Pencils Program (P2P), is a Youth Action Core Against Violence advocacy group that advocates against the issues of gun and gang violence; training youth leaders to make social changes in their local community.

Let's Write Out Loud Poet Arnetta Brown share spoken word at "Reclaiming A Generation", a formal evening affair, being held at the Doubletree Hotel - Ontario, CA.

Tickets are $75/pp. or, $140/couple. Sponsorship and advertiser support is available.
Life Changing Mentoring Program will also announce a major outreach campaign that evening.

Special guests speakers from three counties will address the impact of incarceration on children.
Margaret Hill; Assistant Superintendent San Bernardino County Schools,
Guillermo Henry; Regional Manager Riverside County DPSS, and
Eric Marts; Deputy Director Los Angeles County DCFS.
The evening will also feature testimonies by mentees who will share the impact of having a mentor. And, how it has helped them cope with life and overcome fears as children of incarcerated parents.

You’re invited to an All You Can Eat Cajun Style Fish & Entertainment Benefit Dinner
Friday, July 23, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Mardi Gras Restaurant, 201 N. “E” Street, San Bernardino, CA 92401 (909) 884-5000.

Admission: Preordered tickets are just $30 per person and available at the Young Visionaries Office, 1616 N. "D" Street in San Bernardino or $40 at the door. Dinner starts promptly at 7:00 pm. Seated is limited.

Benefit ticket include: All you eat fish dinner, entertainment, keynote speakers by the youth and automated entry for a door prize. Attire: All White.

Your donation is tax deductable and all proceeds will go to the Young Visionaries Pistols 2 Pencils Program.
